Regulatory, Quality & Food Safety

Food Safety & Quality

We are committed to providing safe food and ensure that food safety and food quality procedures are followed each day. We have achieved continuous Safe Quality Foods (SQF) certification and have SQF Practitioners, as well as PCQI certified individuals, at each of our facilities.

We work closely with our suppliers, plant personnel, regulatory, outside auditing firms, and customers to provide safe and quality food ingredients.

We monitor plant and process environments for bacteria and pathogens that may contaminate the inbound and outbound products. We make appropriate resources available to implement food safety procedures using environmental testing results for tracking and tracing possible contamination.

We analyze feedback from plant personnel, customers, and suppliers to continually improve our processes, product quality, and production efficiency.

Allergens

Denali Ingredients adheres to the applicable US laws for allergen labeling and segregation. Facilities are validated at regular intervals for the absence of allergens, via an accredited test method/laboratory. The raw materials are segregated per allergen and finished products are sealed with shrink wrap to reduce the risk of allergen cross-contamination. For regions outside of the US, the Denali regulatory department can provide the required supporting information.

Environmental Monitoring Program

Our procedure addresses monitoring of the microbiological quality of air, equipment, and environmental cleanliness at Denali Ingredients’ manufacturing facilities. This procedure includes sampling, testing frequencies, and acceptable limits for microbial analysis of environmental samples, zones 1-4.

Legal and Regulatory

All food additives are assessed per their identity, specifications (including purity and physical properties), and any applicable limitations on the conditions of use via a risk assessment. Our finished products meet the applicable regulatory and legal requirements per the Food and Drug Administration, additionally, products are assessed on a case-by-case basis upon request for EU and CFIA.

Corporate and Social Responsibility

Denali Ingredients has participated in a Sedex Members Ethical Trade (SMETA) audit in which our internal processes and procedures were assessed for supply chain management related to sustainability, environmental, ethical responsibility in conducting business, and labor rights.  We believe that continuous improvement and best practices are essential for process improvement in the supply chain.

California Transparency in Supply Chains Act
